It was lovely to celebrate Harvest with 8o friends and visitors followed by a ploughmans lunch for around 30 people. The church looked beautiful – decorated with produce, flowers and decorations by a small group of volunteers. All the produce was donated to the Food Bank. Amongst all the beloved traditional harvest hymns we also sung a worship song from Africa to the accompaniment of ‘volunteers’ from the congregation with various musical instruments the Rev Christine handed out.
Also huge congratulations to the Community Cafe team who on the Monday following harvest, held their annual Macmillan Coffee morning whn money raised is donated to Macmillan cancer research. Over £200 was raised.
